Due to resignations from the Parish Council, four vacancies have arisen in the Office of Councillors for Trimingham Parish Council.
If by 2 December, 2025 (14 days excluding Dies Non, after the date of this notice) a request for an election to fill said vacancies is made in writing to the Returning Officer at the address below by TEN electors for the said Parish, an election will be held to fill the said vacancies, otherwise the vacancies will be filled by co-option. Where a written request for an election is being made, the signatures of the ten electors should be accompanied by the printed names and addresses, so that the Proper Officer can check the validity of the request. Please also state that you are requesting the election for the vacancies created by the resignations of Councillors Charlesworth, Brown, Carpmael and Harrison. If an election is called, it will take place not later than 9 February, 2026. If an election is not requested, the Parish Council will fill these vacancies by co-option.

If by November 11th, 2025 (14 days excluding Dies Non, after the date of this notice) a request for an election to fill said vacancy is made in writing to the Returning Officer at the address below by TEN electors of the said Parish, an election will be held to fill the said vacancy, otherwise the vacancy will be filled by co-option.​

Where a written request for an election is being made, the signatures of the ten electors should be accompanied by the printed names and addresses, so that the Proper Officer can check the validity of the request.

If an election is called, it will take place not later than 19th January, 2026.

If an election is not requested, the Parish Council will fill this vacancy by co-option.

On 4th May 2023 all Trimingham Parish Council seats will be available for election.  Each Councillor is elected for a four year term, which ran from May 2019 until May 2023.

The elections process will begin on 21st March 2023.

​

To stand for the Parish Council, you must complete the Nomination Form and return it to North Norfolk District Council, by hand by 4pm on Tuesday 4th April 2023.  If you wish to have your nomination informally checked you can email it to North Norfolk District Council.  All email correspondence should be sent to nominations@north-norfolk.gov.uk.
